One of the few factors that can still cause problems with the current, highly reliable outboards is water in the petrol. But don't worry, now there is a system on the market that warns you before the water gets in the fuel circuit of the engine. The system suits most Yamaha, Mercury and Racor water separators when a battery is installed.  It alerts you with a loud sound if moisture or water formation is in the filter. So you can remove the water with a simple operation before it enters the engine. Prices for a boat ready adaptation to an existing, compatible water separator start from 325 € (incl. VAT).
